Welcome to the 2026 DC Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) Data Portal!

The 2026 SCORP Survey was conducted to understand how residents across the District use, value, and access outdoor recreation. The survey gathered input on people's recreational preferences, barriers they face for outdoor recreation, their priorities for future recreational access, and more.

This information played a key role in shaping the District's 2026 SCORP, which serves as a guide for the District's outdoor recreation planning. By analyzing the survey responses, we were able to identify trends, evaluate needs, and support decision-making about future funding and development. The results help ensure that the SCORP reflects community voices and supports equitable, high-quality outdoor recreation opportunities for all residents.

To further increase the transparency of our decision-making progress, DPR has developed the 2026 SCORP Data Portal, which is an interactive tool where users can go to access the results of the 2026 SCORP survey. The survey included a mix of multiple‑choice questions and open‑ended questions where residents could share their own ideas. For open‑ended responses, our team grouped similar answers into categories so the results are easier to understand.

Users can click on the three types of questions below, which are Non-Open Ended Responses (such as multiple choice questions), Open Ended Responses, and questions that asked the frequency at which the respondent engaged in certain activities. Additionally, each question has a filter tool that allow users to filter by Ward. Some questions (Questions 5–8) are displayed separately in the Activity Participation section because their format was different from the others.
